Drifter-review-4
Our whole society is made by war. Something that has been in the human blood for thousands of years. That is how we solve our problems and differences. Drifters is based on war. Just as a warning to all those who don't like violence & profanity, you might not want to watch this anime.

Story: 8/10.
The story is based on the greatest warriors that have ever lived. When they died fighting, insted of dying like normal people they were sent to another world by a man named Murasaki. In the other world different mythical races exist, like elves, dwarfs, dragons and others. The drifters as they are called by the people in the other world, were sent to fight someone called the Ends. The Ends is someone who wants to destroy this world, however Murasaki is trying to stop this from happening by sending drifters. The story escalates from here and the drifters try to assemble a army to defeat the Ends.
I think this story is fascinating. We get to see important historical figures placed in the same timeline and fight as a team. There is also questions to be asked. Who is Murasaki and the Ends? And if there is other worlds in all the other doors. (you will know what I mean when you watch the show)
Art: 9/10.
The art has two sides to it. One side where everyone is serious and bodyparts is going everywhere. And there is the times where the series gets a comedic vibe. Their faces go from serious to goofy. And I think that makes the anime a lot more enjoyable to watch. instead of watching fights and stuff all the time, we get to have a break with a little comedy sketch.
Sound: 9/10.
Music great!
Voiceactors great!
Sound great!
Everything feels like they belong. The background music in the anime has a nice and historical sound to it and it gives the viewers the right vibe.
Characters: 9/10.
Toyohisa Shimazu: a warrior from the 1600. He is a incredible samurai and loves to chop off peoples heads with one swing. Truly art.
Nobunaga Oda: a warlord who conquered most of Japan around 20 years before Toyohisa in 1580. He is a great military leader and have lead armies with over 200.000 people in it.
Yoichi Suketaka Nasu: the guy who everyone thinks is a girl untill we are halfway through the anime. He is a cool character tho, with great archery skills. He is btw from a time 400 years before the others.
All really likeable characters.
Enjoyment: 9/10.
This is a anime that you really can enjoy to the fullest. We get to see war and killing and tactics and elves and dwarfs and much action. Can't really go wrong with that. The story is incomplete, but when you finish the first season you want to watch more. That is how I felt. I wanted to start on the second season as fast as possible. So to me this was a anime that I really enjoyed.
Overall: 9/10.
Some may think that 9/10 is too high for this anime. But I don't agree. I though that this anime deserves a lot more recognition. Although it might just seem too violent sometimes, it is how it's supposed to be. I recommend this anime to anyone who loves history, samurai, war/action and some fantasy.
